Arcis Golf recently announced the completion of more than $2 million in renovations to expand the offerings in the fitness center at The Club at Ruby Hill in Pleasanton.
The project to bring state-of-the-art exercise equipment along with a cardio zone, group studio, recovery room, customized programming and more aimed to cement Ruby Hill’s reputation as one of the “most acclaimed full-service private country clubs” in the Bay Area, according to Arcis officials.
“Health and wellness are extremely important to Ruby Hill’s golf fitness and athletic-minded members,” Blake Walker, founder, chairman and CEO of Arcis Golf, said in a press release last month. “This investment significantly elevates our commitment to ensure the Fitness Center is our members’ one-stop destination to attain their personal health and wellness goals.”
The 2,600-square-foot fitness center was fully renovated to add brand-new strength equipment to supplement a full range of machine and free weights, kettlebells, bikes, sleds, concept rowers and medicine balls to support “a well-rounded workout” for members, according to Arcis reps.
The cardio zone includes various machine technology from Freemotion, highlighted by the 22 SERIES cardio line. The facility also features a group studio, functional training space, access to outdoor fitness yard, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a dedicated recovery room for use before and after workouts, they added.
“More than just a place to work out, the new Fitness Center is envisioned as a sanctuary for body, mind, and soul. Member programming and events showcase experts in nutrition, wellness and meditation … offerings perfectly embody Arcis Golf’s motto: Live. Connect. Play,” reps said.
The center sees a team of personal trainers operate in four distinct spaces, and the fitness programming and classes at Ruby Hill includes yoga, pilates, strength training, bootcamp, water aerobics and boxing, among others, according to Arcis.
The Ruby Hill campus in southeastern Pleasanton near the Livermore border, which Dallas-based Arcis acquired in 2015, also includes an 18-hole championship golf course, a golf practice facility, junior Olympic swimming pool, tennis, pickleball and bocce courts, wine cellar, banquet event space and a 32,000-square-foot clubhouse.
