Roseburg Police cited a man for alleged shopping cart theft on Tuesday.
An RPD report said at 10:40 a.m. the 41-year-old was contacted in his camp under the Jackson Street Bridge in the 200 block of Southeast Jackson Street.
The man reportedly had his tent tied down to one Fred Meyer shopping cart and one Safeway cart to keep the tent upright. The officer had just warned the man one month ago about not being in possession of shopping carts off store property.
He was cited for second-degree theft and was released on scene. Both carts were transported to the parks department where they were stored with the other carts.
