ROi, CPS, a St. Louis-based medical supply manufacturer, will close its Republic facility and lay off 109 employees.
The employees will be terminated beginning in March, 2025, ROi — or Resource Optimization & Innovation — said in an employment notice to the Missouri Department of Workforce Development dated Jan. 7, 2025.
In the notice, the company stated it would be “permanently winding down operations” at the Republic facility.
The final round of terminations at the facility, located at 3000 E. Sawyer Road, will occur in April 2025. The notice stated no relevant employees are unionized.
ROi did not immediately respond to multiple phone calls seeking comment on the plant closure.
The company opened a 107,000 square-foot facility in Republic in 2018, according to the company website. ROi also owns and operates a 100,000 square-foot facility in Springfield.
