Senza Parole, the morning-line favorite for the Grade 1 Frizette on Saturday, will be scratched from the race and will not point toward the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies.
Trainer Chad Brown has declared Senza Parole out for the year due to an unspecified physical issue, according to a report from David Grening of Daily Racing Form. Brown expects to bring her back in the spring.
There were originally 10 horses entered in the Frizette. Grening also reported that trainer Saffie Joseph, Jr. is expected to scratch Paradise City, meaning there should be at most eight running in the race. The Queens M G, who was cross-entered by Joseph in both the Frizette and the Alcibiades, is expected to scratch at Keeneland and race at Aqueduct.
Senza Parole has only raced once, but had already emerged as one of the leading lights of her class. She debuted Aug. 23 at Saratoga, took back to track the early pace, and made an eye-catching rally. She drew off to win by 7 3/4 lengths over odds-on favorite Stunner, a Brad Cox trainee who in turn came back to win impressively at Aqueduct on Sept. 26.
