GRAND TEONS NATIONAL PARK (WAGM) -Almost everyone has a bucket list of places they want to visit. Recently a group of 21 Holiday Vacation/WAGM Travelers were able to cross three National Parks off their bucket list. Rene Cloukey hosted a trip to Glacier National Park, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Tonight he wraps up his five part travel diary with a stop in the Jackson Wyoming area and a visit to the Grand Tetons.
Every part of the United States is beautiful in its own way. You can’t compare the beauty of Hawaii or a trip to Alaska or a visit to the Grand Canyon to a visit to the Montana, Wyoming and Utah area. I will repeat a statement I made earlier this week. Pictures don’t do justice to what the eye can see. Even when you return, and you talk to friends and family it is very hard to describe everything that you saw.
Our tour ended with a trip to the Grand Tetons. The Grand Tetons mountain range is the youngest range in the Rocky Mountains. It covers 310 thousand acres of land and features diverse landscape and animal life. The highest point of the Teton Range is 13,775. and that is the second highest peak in the State of Wyoming. It has a very healthy
elk population and Pronghorn, Biston, Coyotes wolves and Bear can also be seen as you drive through the park. The Episcopal Chapel of Transfiguration was one of our stops. The Small log chapel in the park was built to view the Cathedral group of peaks in a large window behind the alter. Once again, the views were breathtaking views we experienced left many of our 43 travelers speechless as they took on the beauty.
Our trip to Wyoming ended with a covered wagon ride in Cache Creek Canyon followed by a western barbecue and music and songs from the Old west.
We then boarded a bus for Salt Lake City and our farewell dinner before flying back to our homes. As always friendships were formed, and memories were made Also while in Salt Lake City a must stop for me was the Utah Sports Hall of Fame. Next year Kelly O’Mara will host a trip to Greece in March and I will head to the Canadian Rockies with Holiday Vacations next August. If you would like more information on the tours go to Holiday Vacations.com and put in the keyword WAGM . Looking forward to making more memories next year. Rene Cloukey NewsSource 8.
