TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Dozens of golfers came out to compete in the Refuge House charity golf tournament, raising money to support programs for domestic violence victims.
18 teams participated, including one couple from the Messer Caparello Law Firm. “We’ve participated in this tournament for over 30 years,” said Tico Gimbel.
This is the 25th year of the Refuge House tournament, and Gimbel says they look forward to supporting each year. “They help so many families,” he said. “It’s just a great opportunity to support that cause, and we have a blast at this tournament every year.”
All proceeds from the tournament help women, children, and men affected by domestic violence.
Refuge House serves people in Leon, Gadsden, Taylor, Madison, and several other surrounding counties.
