Real Madrid will play the Intercontinental Cup final on 18 December in Qatar.
Reigning European champions Real Madrid will play the final of the Intercontinental Cup on 18 December in Doha (Qatar). The tournament, which is organised by FIFA and replaces the former Club World Cup, will consist of five matches and will kick off on 22 September with the clash between Al Ain, winners of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League 2023-2024, and Auckland City FC, winners of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League.
The winner will face Al Ahly of Egypt, winners of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League, in Match 2 on 29 October. Match 3 will be played on 11 December between CF Pachuca, winners of the CONCACAF Champions Cup, and the winner of Conmebol’s Copa Libertadores, to be announced on 30 November. The winners of these two matches will play Match 4 on Saturday 14 December and the winner will face Real Madrid for the title on 18 December in Doha, Qatar, at a stadium yet to be decided.
