Doha, August 17 (QNA) – The Qatar national basketball team will face their Kuwaiti counterparts on Sunday, in the semi-finals of the U15 GBA Basketball Cup Qatar 2024, with the participation of six teams.
The Qatari team reached the semi-finals after finishing in second place in Group B. They secured a win against Oman in the first round with a score of 91-82 but lost to Bahrain in the second round with a score of 63-96.
On the other hand, the Kuwaiti team advanced to the semi-finals by topping Group A with victories over the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Team Qatar consists of Mohanna Khalid, Ibrahim Al Muftah, Jassim Al Qahtani, Hamad Allengawi, Abddulaziz Al Qahtani, Majed Al Mansour, Mohammed Al Badi, Ahmed Yasin, Mohammed Al Qahtani, Meshaal Al Moghni, Sultan Abdellah, Mohammed Al Khuzaei, Azzam Yakan and Saoud Al Meghaiseeb.
In the other semi-final match tomorrow, Group B leader, Bahrain will face Group A runner-up, Saudi Arabia to determine the second finalist in the tournament.
The U15 GBA Basketball Cup Qatar 2024 will conclude on Monday with the match determining third and fourth place winners, followed by the finale. (QNA)
