Camel meat imports into Qatar soared to 29 tons in 2024, jumping by 347% compared with the year before. Over the period under review, imports showed a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 1,587% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2024 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, camel meat imports skyrocketed to $176K (IndexBox estimates) in 2024. In general, imports recorded a strong increase.
