The total number of inbound visitors to Qatar experienced an annual growth of 10.2 percent in July 2024, reaching approximately 317,000. Additionally, there was a monthly rise of 0.4 percent compared to June 2024. This information was highlighted in the 127th edition of the Qatar Monthly Statistical Bulletin released by the National Planning Council, which indicated that the majority of visitors (46 percent) were from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). When examining visitor entry points, air travel accounted for the largest share, comprising 59 percent of all arrivals.
In terms of financial indicators, the report noted a monthly increase in total commercial bank deposits and facilities of 0.1 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively, when compared to June 2024. Year-on-year, these figures rose by 11.3 percent for deposits and 7.4 percent for facilities compared to July 2023, QNA reported.
In the banking sector, the Total Broad Money Supply (M2) stood at approximately QAR727 billion in July 2024, marking a 6.4 percent annual increase from July 2023.
Regarding demographic data, July 2024 saw the registration of 2,501 live births, reflecting a 2.2 percent monthly increase in Qatari live births. Conversely, there were 221 recorded deaths during the same period, representing a 17.6 percent increase compared to June 2024.
Additionally, July 2024 experienced a monthly decline of 0.3 percent in total marriage contracts, while total divorce certificates surged by 93.7 percent. The number of marriage contracts totaled 348, whereas divorce certificates reached 244.
Social Security expenditures amounted to QAR77 million in July 2024, benefiting 14,385 individuals. This reflects a 0.3 percent monthly increase in the value of social security and a 0.2 percent rise in the number of beneficiaries.

Concerning building permits, the total issued in July 2024 reached 741, indicating a monthly increase of 36.5 percent and an annual rise of 16.9 percent.
The total number of newly registered vehicles in July 2024 stood at 7,733, showing a monthly increase of 22.1 percent and an annual increase of 25.8 percent.
In terms of traffic incidents, 602 cases were reported in July 2024, excluding minor accidents. This reflects a monthly decrease of 7.0 percent but an annual increase of 1.2 percent. Notably, there were 6 fatalities, accounting for only 1 percent of the total traffic accident cases.
