Qatar players getting ready for the crucial World Cup qualifier match against UAE
Qatar’s Lucas Mendes and his team-mates during a training session yesterday ahead of their crucial FIFA World Cup qualifying match against the UAE. The Asian champions will take on the UAE in the Group ‘A’ match tomorrow at the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Qatar will be looking to improve their position in the group. Al Annabi currently sit in fourth place, behind the UAE on goal difference and three points behind second-placed Uzbekistan. Last Thursday, hosts Qatar stunned Uzbekistan 3-2 after a last-minute goal from Mendes.
