Nationals of Qatar are now eligible to apply for a Bulgarian visa via VFS Global in Doha after the latter has opened a new visa application centre, accepting documents for short-term and long-term visas, among others.
The new visa application centre, inaugurated on August 5, in Qatar’s capital, will also accept requests for the legislation of Police Clearance Certificates to Bulgaria, Schengen.New reports.
On July 22, 2024, the Ambassador of Bulgaria in Qatar, Plamen Delev, signed the contract for VFS Global to offer Bulgarian visa services in Qatar.
Globalisation demands efficient visa services. The strategic outsourcing of the Bulgaria Visas and Police Clearance Certificates legalisation with VFS Global in Qatar streamlines the process, leveraging their expertise for smoother travel and business opportunities.
In this regard, the Regional Head of VFS Global, Marita Bachhav expressed her delight regarding the expansion of VFS Global partnership with the Bulgarian government in order to offer visa application services to residents in Qatar.

The visa outsourcing company, VFS Global, has been cooperating with the government of Bulgaria since 2008. At present, the company has 92 Bulgarian Visa Application Centers in 16 countries.
Applicants are eligible to choose different visa services that VFS Global offers, taking also into account SMS updates at every stage of the application process and courier return service for delivery of processed passports to the applicants.
In addition, VFS Global’s Premium Lounge will also be eligible for Bulgaria visa applicants, taking into account end-to-end professional guidance, as well as a faster application and biometric submission process, among others.
Following the accession of Bulgaria to the Schengen Zone by air and sea, on March 31, 2024, the country began issuing Schengen visas.
Bulgaria began accepting applications for Schengen visas through the VFS Global. However, up to this point, the country has visa application centres only in several countries. Authorities in Bulgaria said they are planning to establish centres in additional locations soon.
According to Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at present visa applications are operational in several locations, taking into account India, Russia, the United Kingdom, Malaysia and China among others.
