Qatar Executive Announces Addition of Starlink Internet Services to its Gulfstream G650ER Fleet
Qatar Airways private jet flight provider Qatar Executive is adding Starlink technology to its Gulfstream G650ER fleet.
Beginning Dec. 14th, it will operate its first Starlink-equipped aircraft.
The service provides a fast and reliable Wi-Fi service with up to 350 megabits per second.
Passengers will be able to stream movies and TV shows, watch live sports, and work as well.
The first five aircraft of its 15 G650ER fleet will have Starlink installed by next May.
It plans to roll out the technology across its entire Gulfstream fleet over the next 18 months.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer said, “The integration of Starlink technology represents our vision for seamless connectivity that meets the expectations of our global clientele.”
He added, “This innovation further enhances our position as a leading provider in the ultra-long-range business jet branded charter market, ensuring that every journey with Qatar Executive is exceptional.”
Aviation International News separating reports Qatar Executive continues adding to its G700 fleet.
Commercial Vice President Trevor Esling told the trade publication that four ultra-long-range business jets are now in service, and six more are to come.
Esling, speaking during a business aviation conference in Dubai, said, “We have seen a strong growth trend for charter services by Qatar Executive, and our market share is growing overall,”
Flyers with Qatar Executive can now earn and burn points in Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
This club uses the same Avios currency as British Airways and Iberia and is part of the Oneworld network.
That means points can be used for American, Cathay Pacific, Japan Air Lines, and Qantas flights.
