Doha, Qatar: The Criminal Investigation Department at the Ministry of Interior shared live scenes from an operation in which individuals involved in smuggling Gold out of Qatar were apprehended.
On social media, the Ministry announced that eight individuals of different nationalities were arrested for the crime. The video also depicted how the authorities identified and nabbed the individuals about to depart the country at Hamad International Airport.
Several pieces of gold were also seen surrendered by the suspects to the authorities. During the operation, cash, jewelleries, and mobile phones were also confiscated.
