Qatar Airways is set to relaunch daily flights to Australia capital Canberra.
The daily flights to Canberra will operate via Melbourne to the airline’s hub, Hamad International Airport, in Doha.
The flights begin in December 2025 aboard Boeing 777 aircraft, featuring the Q-suite Business Class cabin with complimentary high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi for all passengers.
The airline ceased operations to Canberra during the pandemic.
Canberra Airport CEO, Stephen Byron said: “This marks a pivotal moment for Canberra and our surrounding regions. This service invites the world to rediscover Canberra’s unique cultural, educational, and tourism offerings.”
ACT Chief Minister, Andrew Barr called it ‘a timely boost to the local tourism industry with aviation access being the biggest driver to growth.’
