Qatar Airways extends until 2028 its historic partnership with the Paris Saint-Germain. The agreement extension comes at a time of great success for PSG, following its victory over Manchester City F.C. in the UEFA Champions League, one of the most prestigious tournaments in European soccer.
The Qatar Airways logo, therefore, being the latter “Official Airline Partner” of the team since 2020, it will not only continue to adorn PSG’s jersey, but will also be featured on all theworkout clothes and on warm-up jerseys in all competitions, including Ligue 1, FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ and UEFA challenges.
The agreement is not limited to soccer: it expands to the entire Qatar Airways Group, which includes Qatar Duty Free and Hamad International Airport, creating a global, interconnected partnership ecosystem. The alliance also results in unique experiences for members of the Privilege Club frequent flyer program, who will have access to Exclusive travel packages offered by Qatar Airways Holidays and will thus be able to go to Paris to experience the magic of both the city and the football matches.
Qatar Airways also famously provides Starlink’s free high-speed Wi-Fi, through which PSG can stay in touch with its fans while traveling. One of the first trials of this technology was the virtual press conference aboard a Qatar Airways flight, which took place on Jan. 2 at an altitude of 35,000 feet, preceding PSG’s French Cup victory over Monaco.
The extension of the partnership with Paris Saint-Germain marks just the latest chapter in a series of strategic alliances for Qatar. Indeed, the Doha-based company has for years been engaged in a vast network of global sponsorships ranging from soccer to Formula 1, passing through the UEFA, the FIFA, the MotoGP, tennis with Novak Djokovic, and other sports of international significance such as the IRONMAN Triathlon and Rugby. Qatar Airways continues to grow, therefore, as a point of reference in the world of sports sponsorship.
Paris Saint-Germain, founded in 1970, has been owned by Qatar Sports Investments since 2011 and is, to date, one of the most prestigious soccer clubs in the world. Qatar is theOfficial Airline Partner of the team from 2020, while its logo has been on players’ jerseys since 2022.
