Qatar Airways is giving its business-class passengers a big upgrade.
The airline unveiled on Monday an update to its signature Qsuite, dubbed the Qsuite Next Gen. While many consider the existing business-class seats some of the best in the biz, Qatar Airways is making them even better with extra amenities like larger beds, movable displays, and turn-down service.

“We are excited to have finally revealed the long-awaited Qsuite Next Gen at the Farnborough International Airshow,” Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, the CEO of the Qatar Airways Group, said in a statement. “Qatar Airways has once again raised the bar for its award-winning product, the Qsuite.”
The most notable change to the Qsuite may be the addition of movable 4K OLED Panasonic Astrova IFE screens, allowing professionals to work smarter while they’re in the air. It’s the first time any carrier is offering such an amenity, giving Qatar Airways yet another boost in the world of air travel. The screens can be moved to the side to create what the airway calls “the largest social and productivity space in the sky.”
One of the best parts of flying business may be the extra room for sleep, making it easier to get some shut-eye while you’re traveling. The new Qsuite adds larger lie-flat and double beds to its Quad Suites, and turn-down service is inclusive of a “make my bed” feature, so you don’t have to deal with any rumpled sheets once you wake. The Quad Suite is also getting a larger space for communal dining if you’re traveling with friends or family, and taller dividers for even more privacy if that’s what you’re after.
The Companion Suites, meanwhile, are now even more similar to the deluxe Quad Suites, and they offer shared space in window aisles. Across all Qsuites, new technologies and upgraded touchscreen control units allow you to customize your voyage, with options such as ambient lighting and privacy controls.
While frequent fliers probably can’t wait to experience the Qsuite Next Gen, they’ll have to wait until next year—that’s when the airline will begin rolling out the new offering on its Boeing B777-9 planes. There’s never been a better excuse to start planning your 2025 travel.
