The Airbus A350-1000 (registration A7-ANL) departed LAX Airport for a 15-hour flight to Doha in Qatar.
Cruising from 36,000 ft, the aircraft descended to FL260 then FL200 over Ireland to finally divert to Manchester, landed at 10:45 local time.
The A350K taxied to an isolated area of the airport for the medical crew to board the plane and assist a passenger.
About 2 hours later, the aircraft departed Manchester. The airline is expected a landed at 20:50 at Hamad International Airport.
