After an 0-2 week that saw Purdue lose to both Michigan and Wisconsin, two quality opponents no doubt, the Boilermakers found themselves dropping down 6 spots in the latest AP Top 25 that was released this afternoon. It was no surprise that the Boilermakers dropped it was just a question of how far.

Reminder that it was just this weekend that the NCAA announced their current top 16 teams with Purdue landing as a #2 seed. In order to maintain that spot Purdue will need to get back to their winning ways when they travel to East Lansing tomorrow for what is a big game with huge implications both for NCAA Tournament seeding but also Big Ten Tournament seeding as well as Big Ten title implications.

#1 Auburn (-) – Defeated Purdue 87-69 on December 21st (neutral site).

#4 Alabama (-2) – Purdue defeated the Crimson Tide 87-78 on November 15 at Mackey.

#7 Texas A&M (+1) – Defeated Purdue 70-66 on December 14th (neutral site).

#11 Wisconsin (+5) – Purdue lost to Wisconsin 94-85 in Mackey on February 15th.

#12 Michigan (+8) – Purdue defeated Michigan Jan. 24th at Mackey Arena and lost in Ann Arbor on February 11th.
