LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Golf Athletes of the Week. For Men’s Golf, a pair of Co-Athletes were named: Millersville’s Timothy Peters and Gannon’s Mattia Parrini. For Women’s Golf, Gannon’s Ditte Petersen was selected.

State College, Pa. / Saint Joseph’s Academy
Peters won the season-opening Vulcan Invitational playing 54 holes at 1-over par. He won by two shots, posting two rounds of even-par. Peters has now won five tournaments since the start of 2023-24.

Parrini played consistently well throughout the Ferris State Bulldog Fall Classic, finishing third among 63 golfers. On Monday, he opened with a rounds of 71 and 70 to move into a tie for the lead through 36 holes at 1-under 141. He then shot even-par 71 to secure third place for the tournament. Parrini’s efforts helped the Gannon men’s golf team win the 10-team event by six strokes.

Petersen, the two-time PSAC Women’s Golf Athlete of the Year, placed third in the two-day ODU Champions of Women’s Golf Fall Classic while helping Gannon to a fourth-place finish among 15 teams. Petersen opened with a 3-over 73 on Monday at the Champions Golf Course in Columbus and followed that with a 4-over 74 on Tuesday as she placed third among 100 golfers in the field.
