CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has released their annual All-American Scholar Team, featuring five outstanding golfers from Presbyterian College.
A total of 412 programs and 1,497 student-athletes were recognized with this prestigious achievement. To be eligible for this accolade, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and participate in at least 50 percent of the team’s competitive rounds throughout the 2023-24 academic year.
Presbyterian College’s honorees are Sarah Boteler (3.93 GPA), Sofia Carles (3.58 GPA), Maddie Peake (3.65 GPA), Lextyn Petz (3.85 GPA), and Taylor Reaves (4.00 GPA). These athletes have distinguished themselves both on the course and in the classroom.
Reaves was also named to the Big South All-Academic Team following the conclusion of the season, further showcasing her academic and athletic prowess.
This remarkable achievement represents the most WGCA awards Presbyterian College has ever received in a single year, highlighting the dedication and excellence of its student-athletes. It is also a significant milestone, as the program had not been recognized to this extent since 2021.
