Ugo Humbert will feature in front of the French crowd when he battles Hamad Medjedovic for the Marseille title on Sunday. In Delray Beach, an all-seeded showdown pits Miomir Kecmanovic against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
Open 13: Hamad Medjedovic vs. (2) Ugo Humbert
Nowhere is Humbert more effective than he is on an indoor hard court at home in France. Three of his six ATP titles have come on this surface, including two in his own country–highlighted by a triumph at this same Marseille tournament 12 months ago. The world No. 17 also finished runner-up at the Paris Masters last fall. Humbert has been up to his usual tricks this week, beating Alexander Bublik, Lorenzo Sonego, and Zizou Bergs all in straight sets.
Standing in the lefty’s way of another title on Sunday is Medjedovic, who is seeking his first winners’ trophy on the ATP Tour. The 21-year-old Serb is 0-1 in finals, having lost to Denis Shapovalov this past fall on the indoor hard courts of Belgrade. Medjedovic has given himself another chance in Marseille thanks to victories over Raphael Collignon, Karen Khachanov, Daniel Altmaier, and Daniil Medvedev. The world No. 96 is a formidable foe, but Humbert probably has too much experience and more importantly too much game in a setting where he could hardly be more comfortable.

Delray Beach Open: (8) Alejandro Davidovich Fokina vs. (7) Miomir Kecmanovic
Kecmanovic will be working double duty in Delray Beach on Sunday. Not only is he in the singles final for the second time, but he is also partaking in doubles with partner Brandon Nakashima. The 56th-ranked Serb’s singles success has come at the expense of Borna Gojo, Marcos Giron, and Alex Michelsen while dropping just one set to Giron. Kecmanovic also got a walkover from Yoshihito Nishioka.
Up next for the seventh seed is a fourth encounter with Davidovich Fokina, who is winless in the head-to-head series. Kecmanovic prevailed in three sets at the 2018 Ningbo Challenger, in straights at the 2019 NextGen ATP Finals, and in three at the 2022 Basel event. Davidovich Fokina is looking for some revenge following Delray Beach wins over Taro Daniel, Mackenzie McDonald, Taylor Fritz, and Matteo Arnaldi. The 60th-ranked Spaniard is bidding for his first ATP title in his second final; Kecmanovic is aiming for his second title in his fifth final. Just about all of the advantages seem to be going to the Serb.
