76ers or Bucks: Which NBA team has been more disappointing?
The 76ers and Bucks are both underachieving to start the 2024 season, but which team has been more disappointing?
After all the controversy regarding a new arena in Center City, the Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly staying in South Philadelphia.
The Sixers have reportedly agreed to a deal with Comcast Spectator to stay in the South Philadelphia sports district.
The 76ers worked for two years to get an arena in the Center City region of Philadelphia. In late 2024, the City Council gave its blessing for the arena. The decision was controversial because of the impact it would have on the Chinatown area in Philadelphia.
However, it appears the 76ers will remain in South Philly after all. The Sixers and Comcast also will work together on a revitalization project for Market East in Center City according to reports.
While the new arena is a big deal, just as important is the Sixers remaining in the South Philly sports district. The area is home to the Sixers, the NHL’s Flyers, the NFL’s Eagles, and the MLB’s Phillies.
According to reports on social media, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Comcast President Brian Roberts talked to the 76ers about staying in South Philadelphia.
