CONECTD Golf
The PGA Tour has invested an undisclosed sum in CONECTD Golf, a subsidiary of the newly formed CONECTD Sports Holdings that embeds sensors into sports equipment with an initial focus on golf putters. As part of the deal, CONECTD Golf will also be designated the “official putting technology of the PGA Tour.”
CONECTD Golf’s sensors are as of today available within smart putters made by LEMERLE Golf (another subsidiary of CONECTD Sports Holdings), whose clubs are used by 25 professional players globally. While LEMERLE’s model is primarily B2C, CONECTD Golf will now also seek to partner with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to embed its sensors elsewhere. Those sensors collect 26,000 datapoints per swing, disseminating putting stroke data and analytics the company says are typically only available to players at instructional facilities.
