The PGA stop for the 2025 Mexico Open at VidantaWorld provides fans and guests a desired destination where they can enjoy more than just good golf near Puerto Vallarta. The 4th edition of the event features a 132-player field with more Korn Ferry and DP World Tour graduates who can challenge a number of the top-100 players in the world golf rankings.
Akshay Bhatia is ranked No. 30 in the world this week, and he’s the betting favorite. Aaron Rai is the highest ranked player in the field at No. 29. Four players in the top-50 and 26 total in the top-100 will tee it up at VidantaWorld, including No. 97 and defending champion Jake Knapp as outlined in the initial Mexico Open preview in Forbes.
Note that Maverick McNealy, up to No. 14 in the world following a second place finish in last week’s Genesis Invitational, has decided not to make the trip and play after previously committing to the Mexico Open.
