It was not an ideal start for Patrick Mahomes in Super Bowl LIX.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback went 6-of-14 for 33 yards and two interceptions in the opening half, including one interception that was returned for a touchdown by Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean

On the other side, Eagles quarterback went 11-of-15 for 123 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Kansas City offense produced a total of 23 yards in the opening half, earned one total first down and averaged 1.2 yards per play.
While it was a rough start, Mahomes’ track record still leaves room for optimism. He is a three-time Super Bowl champion and MVP and has made the Super Bowl in five of his seven seasons.
While it will be an uphill battle to complete a comeback, Mahomes and the Chiefs will hope for a major shift in momentum at the start of the third quarter.
