Parx called off its card Saturday for the third race day in a row.
The cancellation was announced via posts on X from both Parx and announcer Jessica Paquette. Paquette told Horse Racing Nation on Saturday via text that the cancellation was due to the weather, which is also the reason cited on Equibase. Racing was also canceled due to weather on both Monday and Tuesday.
The National Weather Service forecasted cloudy skies and a high near 48 in Bensalem, Pa. on Saturday. There was a 60% chance of rain Saturday afternoon, primarily before 2 p.m. EST. Patchy fog was expected to persist before 5 p.m. EST.
Parx expects to resume Monday with an eight-race card starting at 12:05 p.m. EDT. The 10-race card features four stakes races, all at seven furlongs on dirt. The Future Stars Filly Division and the Future Stars were open to juveniles bred anywhere, while the Miss Behaviour and the Wait For It were restricted to 2-year-olds bred and sired in Pennsylvania.
