BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – You might be cleaning off your golf clubs and putting them away for the season because Bismarck Public Golf Courses are closing for the year.
Riverwood Golf Operations Manager Tim Doppler said golfers teed off for a lot more rounds this year than last, 40,000 total at Riverwood, and the course opened two and a half weeks early.
Doppler said conditions on the golf courses were great, and the attendance records reflected that.
“We’re seeing tremendous amounts of growth across the whole area, statewide and locally. So we’re very near the need for a new golf course or another golf course locally,” said Doppler.
They try to stay open later than Halloween, but they’re getting some sand work done.
He said golfers don’t have to be finished just yet. They can golf at The Four Seasons Center.
