LIVERMORE, CA — The promise of deals, dining and mimosas can be a powerful antidote to election stress. On Saturday, Nov. 23, Livermore Downtown is hosting its annual “Earlier than the Bird” pajama shopping tradition. Instead of elbowing your way through Black Friday madness, roll out of bed between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. in your pajamas, and head to downtown Livermore for tons of deals and promotions at downtown shops and restaurants. Some eateries will be offering free coffee, mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, and breakfast items.
Shoppers are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift for teenagers, which will be distributed by Tri-Valley Haven. Gifts can be distributed at the Tri-Valley Haven booth at Livermorium Plaza. Donors will be entered into a raffle basket for a shot to win different goodies and gift cards. Anyone who arrives without a gift is encouraged to buy something from a downtown shop and bring it to the donation drop-off site. Signs in some stores will say “great teen gifts,” indicating they have curated good gifts for the cause. Visit trivalleyhaven.org to learn more about how you can support them during the holidays.
