With spring training just around the corner, Baseball athletes are spending the ongoing off-season in the most productive way. Whether it’s attending the NBA matches, catching up with the Basketball players, or undergoing strenuous fitness training for the upcoming season.
San Diego Padres’ star Fernando Tatis Jr. has sent waves on social media after he went on to post a clip of himself from his fitness training sessions.
One of the most prominent faces of the San Diego Padres, Fernando Tatis Jr. has diverted the cameras during the off-season. The 26-year-old Dominican athlete is making the most of his time while grinding in the gym. Tatis Jr. recently shared a clip on his Instagram story that went on to divert the attention of his fans and followers on social media.
According to the shared clip, Fernando Tatis Jr. was seen flexing his moves with the Kettlebell. The young baseball star was flexing his great strength while doing single-arm kettlebell press exercises in the gym.
Tatis Jr. had added the fire emoji and even tagged Mount Everest probably as a metaphor. After having a year full of ups and downs due to his injuries, Fernando Tatis Jr. would be hitting the stadium during the spring training. Reportedly, he was on a 60-day injury list due to a reaction caused by stress on his right femur.
During an appearance on the Austin Ayers Baseball podcast, former Rays star Brian O’Grady spoke about Fernando Tatis Jr.’s record-breaking deal with the team. The deal cost the San Diego Padres around $340 million as they went on to add Tatis Jr. to the team roster for the next 14 years. While talking about the worthiness of Fernando Tatis Jr. he said-
“The next year I ended up in San Diego and I’m in the infield with Tatis and Manny at one point, and it’s like, holy crap. Those guys are worth all that money. So it’s good to see them getting what they deserve.”
While talking about Tyler Glasnow’s association with the team, he said-
“And Glas is just a freak too, from the opposite side. He’s just a stud throwing that ball as hard as he does, how big he is, and how athletic. They’re just great pitchers, so I can’t say I’m surprised that that ended up happening.
As Blake Snell was acquired by the LA Dodgers, O’Grady further mentioned his potential. He said-
“Those guys are very good and they already had proven at that point. Snell obviously Cy Young, just a dominant pitcher when all his stuff’s working and he’s in the zone. When he’s in the zone there might not be anybody better than Blake Snell.
The winter off-season was clearly owned by the Los Angeles Dodgers as they not only went from pillar to post with respect to improving their team roster but also added prominent names like Tanner Scott and Japanese pitching prodigy Roki Sasaki to their team too.
