The Green Bay Packers aren’t usually big swingers at the NFL trade deadline. Despite often being linked to other teams’ players via reports, Green Bay doesn’t usually land big fish via trades.

Last year, the Packers were actually sellers at the deadline, sending cornerback Rasul Douglas (and a fifth-round pick) to the Buffalo Bills for a third-round pick — which was used to pick up Missouri linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper in April. This year, at least according to reports from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the team could be in the same position again. According to both, defensive end Preston Smith is drawing interest from other clubs. Rapoport also added that backup tackle Andre Dillard could be another player that Green Bay could trade, as offensive line depth is becoming desperate around the league.
