Oregon is losing all of its starting interior defensive linemen to the NFL.

Nose tackle Jamaree Caldwell, who was eligible for another year of eligibility as a former junior college player, announced he will not utilize it and remain in the 2025 NFL draft.

Caldwell, who played at Independence Community College in 2021 and later at Houston in 2023, had a career-high 29 tackles (4.5 for loss) with three pass breakups and a forced fumble this season. He accepted an invite to the Senior Bowl.

One of three Ducks impacted by the NCAA granting former junior college players an additional year of eligibility, Caldwell is the first to announce they are remaining in the draft, which he was automatically eligible for under NFL rules. Offensive lineman George Silva and safety Kobe Savage also have an additional year of eligibility, with Silva saying he plans to return.

The Ducks, who are also losing defensive tackles Derrick Harmon and Keyon Ware-Hudson to the draft and My’Keil Gardner to transfer, have 83 projected scholarship players in 2025, including seven interior defensive linemen. UO added former USC defensive tackle Bear Alexander last month.
