FREERICK, Okla. (KSWO) – In Frederick, the Operation C.A.R.E. Golf Scramble is underway at the Golf and Country Club.
Golfers came out to participate in four person scrambles.
The event featured two round, nine holes each.
Each contestant was charged a $50 entry fee, that fee going to support Operation C.A.R.E. Ministries of Tillman County.
The organization’s executive director Douglas Simpson, says the support for the event is critical to it’s success.
“It’s critical to our growth and development in a way that we can interact with the community,” Simpson said. “The things that we do need this type of support, so them coming out as business leaders, community leaders, representing churches and different organizations is critical to what we’re doing.”
Officials hope the event continues to grow to support their missions into the next year.
