After their third undefeated regular season in the last six years, the Rockets impressed in their Region 13 opener against Cardinal Mooney and their quarterfinal win over Northwest. Streetsboro has 4,441 rushing yards through 12 games, averaging 9.8 per carry and 370.1 per game. Klimak (168 carries, 1,759 yards, 34 TDs) has led the way with Marcus Council (69 carries, 880 yards, 10 TDs), Janiere Cook (76 carries, 683 yards, 14 TDs) and Logan Fincham (55 carries, 603 yards, nine TDs) also garnering plenty of carries.
The Pirates, who won the 2023 Division V state title, are led by an all-Ohioan quarterback in Walker Moses. Perry’s lone loss this season came to Division VI powerhouse Kirtland in triple overtime. The Pirates played another close game last week, edging Struthers 3-0 in a regional quarterfinal. Perry is led by Moses and RB Owen McKoon, along with a tenacious defense yielding just 6.5 points per game.
