JACKSON TWP. — Jackson hosts Lake in a high school football matchup at Fife Stadium tonight. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Jackson enters at 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the Federal League. Lake is 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the league.

After Lake and Jackson traded punts, Ty DeGeorge kept a read option and ran 80 yards for a touchdown. Braden Talkington added the PAT. Lake leads Jackson 7-3 with 39 seconds left in the first quarter.
Cooper Mizeur connects on a 31-yard field goal to give the Polar Bears a 3-0 lead with 6:22 left in the first quarter. A couple of passes from Lucas Ecrement to Noah Colando keyed that scoring drive.
The Polar Bears will begin at own 47 after Lake punt.
The Blue Streaks start on their own 14.
Jackson won the coin toss and chose to defer.

Lucas Ecrement, Jackson: The junior quarterback has thrown for 841 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions this season. Ecrement was sacked 10 times in last year’s loss at Lake. The Polar Bears will need to give him enough time to find playmakers Noah Colando and Max Cowles, who have combined for 30 receptions for 599 yards and nine TDs.
Charlie Christopher, Lake: An Ohio University commit, Christopher is putting together one of the best two-way seasons in the area as he leads the Blue Streaks in both tackles and rushing. At linebacker, Christopher has amassed 51 tackles (10 for loss) to go with three sacks. At running back, the 6-foot-1, 230-pound senior has rushed for 351 yards at 5.2 a carry and four touchdowns.

Lake beat Jackson 19-7 last year and has won three of the last four matchups with the Polar Bears. The all-time series is even at 18-18.
