COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s Justin Frye is departing to serve as the Arizona Cardinals’ next offensive line coach, according to multiple reports.
The Cardinals had an opening because Klayton Adams was hired as the Cowboys’ next offensive coordinator.
Frye has been coaching Ohio State’s offensive line since 2022. His previous stops included stints at UCLA, Boston College, Temple, Florida and Indiana.
Though his recruiting has been criticized, Frye did an impressive job in Ohio State’s run to a national title during the 2024-25 season.
The Buckeyes dealt with a plethora of injuries along the offensive line.
Left tackle Josh Simmons, a potential first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, suffered a season-ending knee injury in at Oct. 12 loss at Oregon. Center Seth McLaughlin suffered a season-ending injury a month later.
Despite the losses, Ohio State was able to gel a line together worthy of a championship.
Frye has been linked to NFL openings in the past, including reports of an interview with the Chicago Bears earlier this week.
