Firestone opened Week 9 of the Akron-area high school football season Thursday night with a 34-0 City Series win over North.
Friday night, all six of the Akron-area’s undefeated teams will try to remain perfect heading into the final week of the regular season.
Heading that list is Walsh Jesuit — ranked No. 1 in the USA Today Network Ohio Super 25 Poll — which will play at 3-5 Brunswick. Other unbeatens also in action will be Highland traveling to 2-6 Cuyahoga Falls; Manchester hosting 3-5 Fairless; Wadsworth entertaining 2-6 Solon; Aurora hosting 1-7 Barberton; and Streetsboro playing at 7-1 Field.
