Police say they made an arrest in the investigation of body parts found in a shopping cart in Yonkers.
Police say they arrested 40-year-old Mihammad Aadil, of the Bronx.
In August, police found the body of 40-year-old Lutalo Henderson near the Oak Street overpass in Yonkers.
They say Henderson’s body was dismembered, placed in a shopping cart and set on fire.
Later, investigators found more remains inside of Henderson’s Rogers Place apartment in Longwood where both the victim and the suspect lived.
The relationship between both men was not immediately clear.
According to police, Aadil faces a slew on charges, including murder in the second degree, manslaughter in the first degree, mulitple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and concealment of a human corpse.
News 12 reached out to the district attorney’s office to find out when Aadil will be arraigned but has not heard back yet.
