At the beginning of the season, many saw Notre Dame’s game against Florida State as one of great importance. It was considered prominent enough that it became the only prime-time game scheduled at Notre Dame Stadium this season. Since then, the luster for this game has greatly diminished.
The Seminoles are entering this contest with a 1-8 record, so it won’t help the Irish’s College Football Playoff hopes as much as it once seemed it would.
