CHICAGO, Ill. — North Park Men’s Golf ended their fall season on the highest possible note, placing first among 16 teams at the Benedictine University Fall Invite on Wednesday afternoon. North Park broke 300 in the meet (297), led by senior captain Anthony Dinelli’s collegiate low of 72, placing t1.
Dinelli’s collegiate low of 72 (+1) on the course of St. Andrews in West Chicago tied Aurora’s Jacob Mikua and Carthage’s David Ku for the best score at the 18-hole meet. He ended his season, and career, by holing out with a short chip in.
Felix Pettersson, Tommy Taylor, and William Trainor all earned top-10 finishes in the pool of 92 competing golfers. Pettersson placed t4 with a 74 (+3), Taylor was t7 with a 75 (+4), and Trainor was t9 with a 76 (+5).
The 297 was the second-best team total of the fall season for North Park. The team will enjoy a few months rest before returning for the spring season in 2025.
