Travis Kelce has been doing a ton of press as the Chiefs gear up for the playoffs, and naturally he can’t get through one interview without Taylor Swift’s name being brought up. But due to being incredibly good natured, Travis has been down to answer most questions that come his way—and recently spoke about how Taylor feels about him continuing playing football.
During an interview on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Travis was asked if Taylor is “encouraging” him to retire. The short answer? No. The long answer:
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game. She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me, so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
This comes amid Travis confirming that Taylor will be at the Chiefs’ playoff game this weekend, telling Pat McAfee “You know it, baby. You know it’s playoff football, man.”
Psst, while we’re here: during the same interview, Pat asked if Taylor is working on new songs now that the Eras Tour has wrapped up, and Trav actually kinda responded? I mean, cryptically, but still. Ahem: “There might be a few. I don’t know. There might be a few.” Oh, and when Pat asked if he’d heard any of Taylor’s new music, Travis replied “You know I can’t say any of that…I hear music everywhere!”
He also said he’s here to motivate Tay, adding “Oh, come on now, you know it! I’ll never chime in, but you already know, I’m here to support it. I’m here to see where it can go.”
