No. 7 Golf Leads the Field After Day One of Golfweek October Classic – Washington University in St. Louis

DESTIN, Fla. – The No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis golf team is in first following day one of three of the Golfweek October Classic. The tournament is being held at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort which is a par 72 course spanning 5,611 yards.

As a team, the Bears carded a 291, two strokes ahead of second-place No. 2 Emory.

Sophomore Amy Beanblossom led the Bears on day one, shooting a 71 which puts her tied for fourth place.

Junior Tiffany Chan is tied for ninth with a 72 while sophomore Reagan Robinson is tied for 13^th with a 73.

Senior Sydney Kuo shot a 75 and is tied for 31^st while first-year Nicole McGuire is tied for 52^nd with a 77.

The Bears continue play tomorrow with the conclusion of the tournament on Tuesday.
