The Detroit Lions (11-1) will take on division rival Green Bay Packers (9-3) in Week 14 on “Thursday Night Football” in downtown Detroit. There are plenty of storylines to keep an eye on in this game, including the Lions extending their franchise record for consecutive wins (from 10 to 11), the Lions having a chance to clinch a Playoff berth, and a chance to knock the Packers out off contention for an NFC North title.
In order for the Lions to have a chance to accomplish these goals, they’ll need to overcome their latest round of injuries. But if there is a team that can do it, it would be this resilient Lions team.
“Yeah, I mean, I think that we’ve been this way for a long time, in my opinion,” Lions coach Dan Campbell said of the team’s resiliency. “I mean, it’s what our guys are made of, and they understand that. And look, the best part of all of this: we’re in playoff football right now, that’s where we’re at, we’re in December, and our schedule says that. Man, we play tough opponent after tough opponent after tough (opponent, and) we’ve got another one. I mean, we’ve got plenty coming up. So, man, this is the type of stuff that you live for and it’s also the type of stuff that gets you ready for the tournament. So, yeah, we’re a resilient bunch and nothing’s going to change that. We’ve just got to worry about the one in front of us.”
