The Cleveland Browns are 1-2 on the young 2024 NFL season. While the Browns are not happy with their current record, only one team in the AFC North has a winning record and just six total in the entire AFC conference.
The struggles around the team in Cleveland are slightly better because of the struggles in the conference. Power ranking the AFC North is pretty easy at this point due to all the issues within the division.
Browns GM Andrew Berry now has a better chance to add to the team’s roster as the NFL waiver priority order has changed for the first this season. Prior to the start of Week 4, waiver claims were based on the NFL draft order which had Cleveland down at 23 and unlikely to acquire anyone of worth.
Now, despite 15 teams tied with a 1-2 mark, the Browns have the fourth waiver claim spot behind the three winless teams:
Effective today, the NFL’s waiver claim priority will reflect 2024 records, not the 2024 original draft order.
