The Tennessee Titans received some good news on Thursday when the NFL and NFLPA agreed to a 2025 salary cap of $279.2 million. That’s another record high and will help the Titans retool the roster.
New general manager Mike Borgonzi does have some assets to work with. Not only is that first pick a valuable commodity, they now have roughly $51 million in salary cap space with the ability to make some roster moves that could free up even more salary cap money.
Not only did the league set the salary cap, they released the franchise tender amounts for each position.
At this point, the Titans don’t really have any players worth the franchise tag amount, but it is still a valuable reference when talking about some of the higher profile free agents that could be on the market.
Teams have until March 4 to decide if they are going to use the franchise tag in 2025.
