On Sunday, the NFL has a truly impressive slate of games in the afternoon. Early on, the Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans meet in a battle of two young, up-and-coming teams that were among many pundits’ favorites to play in Super Bowl LIX. At the same time, the top two teams in the NFC North meet as the 4-1 Detroit Lions face the 5-0 Minnesota Vikings.
Finally, in the late afternoon time slot, it’s the really big one: a rematch of Super Bowl LVIII, as the Kansas City Chiefs visit the San Francisco 49ers. This should be a cap on a tremendous afternoon of football, and each of these three games is currently separated by a very tight point spread.
The home teams in each of these games are narrow favorites, with each favored by less than a field goal. Green Bay has the biggest spread at the current time, favored by 2.5 points over the Texans, while the Vikings and 49ers are each 1.5-point favorites against the Lions and Chiefs, respectively.
Who will earn big victories in these games? APC is here with our predictions, which include a pair of upsets as the overall pick. Indeed, a majority of our contributors are taking the Lions and Chiefs on the road, while expecting a home Packers victory as the team wears its all-white uniforms for the first time.
Check out our picks for those games and all of the other games across the NFL below and give us your prediction for Packers-Texans in the poll.
