Through two weeks of the 2024 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to turnovers. The Titans’ offense has turned the football over a whopping five times — three via interception and two on lost fumbles — ranking 31st in the league. The Packers, meanwhile, have forced six turnovers, three in each of their first two games, a number that leads the league.
Jeff Hafley’s defensive scheme has prioritized making big plays, and those numbers show that it has been working so far. Now against one of the most turnover-prone offenses in the NFL, he’ll need his group to continue to get takeaways and give Matt LaFleur’s offense good field position. That will help the offense regardless of whether Jordan Love or Malik Willis start at quarterback.
Will Green Bay be able to do just that and find a path to victory against the Titans? APC’s writers feel bullish on the Packers’ chances, due in large part to the opportunity this game provides to get the pass rush going.
FanDuel still has the Packers as slight underdogs at this point, though those odds are worth monitoring if Jordan Love ends up starting instead of Malik Willis. The point spread for the week two game against the Colts shifted by about a touchdown when Love’s injury took place, and his return would likely move the line back in the Packers’ favor.
Here are our picks for the Packers-Titans game and all of the other games around the NFL this weekend.
