Tom Brady showed off his max bench press in a YouTube video posted to his channel on Thursday.
The NFL legend put up a bench press of 245 pounds, representing a new personal best at 47 years old.
“If you told me this morning that I had to do 245, I’d be like ‘you’re out of your f–king mind,'” Brady said (2:56 mark).
The seven-time Super Bowl champion revealed that it was his first time attempting a max bench press since he was a member of the New England Patriots in the 2006 season. Brady explained that he used to train with Matt Cassel, his former backup quarterback.
The NFL’s all-time leading passer was well-known for his prolonged athleticism throughout his career, finishing No. 2 in 2021 MVP voting at the age of 44 years old with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He’s also stayed in shape following his playing days, recently dunking a basketball at Fanatics Fest in New York City.
Brady is set to begin his new career as a broadcaster for Fox and will make his debut on Sept. 8 during a Week 1 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns.
