In an Instagram live, NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss confirmed that he was not only diagnosed with cancer but announced that he has beaten it.

Moss revealed that a cancer was discovered outside of his bile duct between his pancreas and liver. He had spent the last six days in the hospital. The tumor was removed through a Whipple procedure.

“I just ask for all the prayer warriors to put their blessing hands on me and my family through these hard times,” Moss said.

“People were talking about my eyes last week. I’m battling something, man, and it’s something internal, your boy is going to get through it. I got a great team of doctors and got a great family around me.”

Moss is now selling apparel that reads “Let’s Moss Cancer” on randymoss.com in order to help raise funds to battle pancreatic cancer. Supporters can also make donations directly.

The Minnesota Vikings social media team shared a post celebrating the positive news.

“Glad to hear it, [Randy Moss]. Thinking about and praying for you and your family as you finish treatments. Let’s Moss Cancer!”

Considered by many to be one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play the game, Moss first began his NFL career in Minnesota when he was selected with the 21st pick of the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft.

In his first season, Moss set the NFL record for most receiving touchdowns in a rookie season (17). He also recorded 69 receptions for 1,313 yards in the regular season.

Moss was named Offensive Rookie of the Year, a first-team All-Pro, and to the Pro Bowl.

Moss would spend 14 years in the NFL, a majority of the time with the Vikings (eight years) and the New England Patriots (four years). He also played for the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ers.

In his career, Moss was a four-time first-team All-Pro, six-time Pro Bowler, and led the NFL in receiving touchdowns five times. He holds the record for most receiving touchdowns in a single NFL season (23).

Moss has received countless honors for his impressive career, including being inducted into the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor and the New England Patriots All-Dynasty Team.

Moss was inducted into both the Pro Football and College Football Hall of Fame.
