The Eagles dominated in their 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, whooped the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game and bullied most of their opponents in the regular season.
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman needs to have a good 2025 draft to make them Super Bowl contenders again. Philadelphia is projected to have seven draft picks this spring, starting with the No. 32 pick in the first round.
Here are some of the best prospects who could be available with the No. 32 pick:
Texas A&M edge rusher Nic Scourton
Roseman needs to draft a pass rusher if Josh Sweat leaves in free agency.
Scourton, who is one of the best pass rushers in the 2025 NFL draft, could pair up with Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt to make Philadelphia’s edge rush group stronger.
His combination of size (6-foot-4, 285 pounds), power and speed makes him an intriguing option.
Michigan tight end Colston Loveland
After the 2025 season, the Eagles could let tight end Dallas Goedert leave in free agency, so they need to find his replacement. Loveland, who is considered the second-best tight end prospect in this year’s class, is a dynamic 6-foot-5, 245-pound athlete.
In his final season at Michigan, he caught 56 passes for 582 yards and five touchdowns.
East Carolina cornerback Shavon Revel Jr.
The Eagles could release cornerback Darius Slay this offseason to save cap space.
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio might move Cooper DeJean from nickel to outside cornerback next season to help replace Slay. But if Fangio wants to keep DeJean in the slot, Philadelphia should consider drafting a cornerback in the first round.
DeJean, Quinyon Mitchell and Revel Jr. would be one of the NFL’s best cornerback units.
Revel, who has elite measurables at 6-foot-3, 193 pounds, only allowed a 42.2% completion percentage and amassed three interceptions in 15 college starts.
But he might fall to the Eagles because he tore his ACL during the 2024 season.
Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr.
Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson told reporters before the 2024 season that he wants to play for two or three more seasons.
Roseman could draft Conerly Jr., who was a two-year starter at left tackle for the Ducks, to be Johnson’s heir apparent. Conerly Jr. only gave up two sacks and four quarterback hits in his last year (2024) at Oregon.
Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen
Adding Nolen to the defensive tackle rotation would only make the Eagles’ elite defense better. Nolen could develop into a good interior pass rusher, but he might be a better run defender as a rookie. This past season, he earned Pro Football Focus’ second-highest run defense grade among draft eligible defensive tackles.
